
Town worker suffers serious burns in Enfield after car hits lawn mower
In Thompsonville, Connecticut, an Enfield town worker who suffered severe burns after a car collided with the lawn mower he was operating has passed away, as reported by the Enfield Police Department. The incident occurred on North Main Street near Route 5 around 12:15 p.m. The victim, Jamie Nickerson, was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later on. The lawn mower involved belonged to the Enfield Department of Public Works, according to the police chief. The driver of the car, Alexander Torres, sustained suspected serious injuries and was taken to St. Francis Hospital; his current state of health is undisclosed.
