Titusville man charged with DUI manslaughter in deadly crash
A Titusville man has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter in a deadly Friday afternoon crash in the city.The crash happened around 2:50 p.m. on Friday, March 28, when a man walking across Columbia Boulevard northbound was hit by a Ram Super Duty pickup truck. The victim was walking within a crosswalk when he was hit, according to the Titusville Police Department. The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 4:01 p.m.Titusville police said that Dallas Scott Weed, 28, was driving that truck, and he has since been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter.Weed is being held on $15,000 bond at the Brevard County Jail.
