THP investigating fatal tractor-trailer crash in Greene County

(WJHL) — Cleanup operations are underway Friday morning after a fatal crash on Interstate 81 in Greene County. According to the Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department, the crash happened near mile marker 41. Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) confirmed to News Channel 11 that they are investigating the fatal crash. As of 8:45 a.m., Tennessee Department of Transportation's SmartWay map shows delays and road closures in the area. The southbound lane is closed. Fall Branch VFD said Sulphur Springs VFD, Gray VFD and Tennessee Highway Patrol are assisting. This story is currently developing. Stay tuned on-air and online for updates.
