Third victim found at Dillon Falls close to Bend following tubing incident
The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office in Portland, Ore. has announced the recovery of Derek Slesinger, the final member of a group of six people who went over Dillon Falls in July. The group, riding on inner tubes tied together, hit rapids on the Deschutes River. While three individuals managed to reach shore, Derek Slesinger along with Amanda Lloyd of Rockwall, Texas, and Lindsay Bashan of Parkland, Florida, were swept away and tragically did not survive. Amanda Lloyd was 40 years old at the time, and Lindsay Bashan was 33. Amanda and Lindsay's bodies were found shortly after the incident, and Derek Slesinger was just recently recovered.
