The transformation of ex-Punjab cop Rajvir Jawanda into a Punjabi music star

Rajvir Jawanda, a prominent Punjabi singer and actor, had connections with the Punjab Police before fully dedicating himself to a music career. Jawanda, known for hit songs like "Shaokeen," "Kangani," "Landlord," and "Munde Pind De," initially contemplated a career in law enforcement, following in his father's footsteps. However, his true passion for music eventually pulled him in that direction. His background as a former cop, along with his clean reputation, adds a unique aspect to his identity in the Punjabi music industry. Unfortunately, after a recent road accident on September 27 while travelling to Shimla, Jawanda's condition is critical, and he is hospitalized with severe injuries. Fans and residents of his village, Pauna in Ludhiana, have come together to pray for his recovery. Despite his career shift towards music, Rajvir's journey began in his village during a television shoot, marking the start of his musical passion. He pursued his academic studies in Jagraon and later in Patiala, but ultimately chose to resign from the police force in 2019 to focus entirely on his music career. The recent accident reportedly involved a collision with a car and bulls on the road, as Jawanda was riding his new BMW bike. Since his debut album in 2014, Rajvir Jawanda has made a significant impact on the Punjabi music scene, collaborating with various artists and releasing popular songs like "Muqabla," "Patiala Shahi Pag," and "Kesari Jhande."
