His wife, Whitney Slough, shared with KTVT that Brent is currently recovering in a Miami hospital after undergoing surgery. The family is working on arrangements to transfer him back to Dallas as soon as possible. They are urging Bahamian authorities to press charges against the three individuals on the boat involved in the accident, who were briefly detained but then released. Whitney emphasized the importance of seeking justice for Brent and expressed gratitude for the support they have received. Additionally, friends of the family are raising funds to assist with medical expenses, including the cost of a medical flight back to Texas, which could take place as early as next week.
