Tesla catches fire and driver dies in wrong-way crash on I-84.
Oregon State Police have identified a man who tragically lost his life in a fatal collision on Interstate 84 that resulted in his Tesla catching fire. The incident occurred early on Saturday morning near Milepost 24, when a BMW X3 collided head-on with the Tesla Model Y. The driver of the Tesla, Jeffrey Allen Flood, aged 40, died in the crash. The driver of the BMW sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The investigation into the incident caused traffic disruptions for approximately five hours, with authorities continuing their efforts to determine the cause of the collision.
