Terry Luttrell, ex-REO Speedwagon singer, hurt in crash due to drowsy driving

Terry Luttrell, the former lead singer of REO Speedwagon, was recently in a serious car accident when he fell asleep while driving to St. Louis. The News-Gazette first reported the incident, with Luttrell confirming his injuries and current recovery at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Luttrell explained that he nodded off after staying up late signing autographs for fans and rolled the car over, resulting in injuries like a cracked sternum, back pain, and neck pain. Thankfully, his keyboard player from the REO Classics band witnessed the crash behind him, and no other injuries or vehicles were involved. Luttrell fronted REO Speedwagon from 1968 to 1972 and began establishing the band in the American rock music scene. He is currently recuperating from the accident at the hospital, but there is no official timeline for his full recovery or any impact on scheduled performances. No charges have been reported, and the accident involved only Luttrell's vehicle.
