Teenagers involved in deadly crash in Eastern Colorado
A tragic accident in eastern Colorado left a 17-year-old boy dead on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The Colorado State Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 385, where a Ford Focus carrying five teenage boys was rear-ended by a Jeep. The impact sent both vehicles off the road into a nearby field. The 17-year-old passenger in the backseat of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. Other passengers were airlifted or taken by ambulance to Denver and local hospitals. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor to moderate injuries. The highway was closed for several hours for investigation and reopened later in the day.
