
Teenager survives after car tumbles 320 feet down Colorado mountainside
A young individual survived a car accident in southwestern Colorado where a vehicle veered off the highway and rolled approximately 320 feet down a mountainside. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, as reported by the Colorado State Patrol. Responding to the tragic incident on Highway 550 near mile marker 88, south of Ouray on Red Mountain Pass, troopers found a silver Honda Civic that had left the road and tumbled down the mountain, ending up overturned in the river. Sadly, two adults lost their lives in the crash, while a young girl was trapped inside the vehicle until emergency responders were able to rescue her at 11:27 a.m. and transport her to the hospital. As investigations and cleanup continued, the southbound lane of Highway 550 was closed, with no estimated time for reopening provided.
