Teenager drowns retrieving basketball in park pond
A tragic incident occurred at Wendtwoods Park where 19-year-old Ronnie Singleton III lost his life while trying to retrieve a basketball from a pond. Ronnie, who was described as the nucleus of his family, was with loved ones when the accident happened. Despite efforts from rescue teams, he unfortunately drowned. Ronnie, a former student at Klein High School and passionate basketball player, was remembered for his dedication and drive in both his work and education. His coach, Nyesha Phillips, expressed shock and sorrow over the loss. The Klein Independent School District also extended their condolences to the family during this difficult time.
