Teenager accused of murder in Litchfield crash that resulted in motorcyclist's death.
A man is currently facing a murder charge following a collision on Route 102 in Litchfield on Wednesday night. The individual, identified as John Burke, 19, from Hudson, is accused of multiple offenses, including second-degree murder, first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated DUI. Authorities stated that Burke was driving a Toyota Corolla and intentionally targeted a motorcyclist on Route 102, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist. Burke's vehicle was subsequently involved in a separate crash with a Mitsubishi Outlander, which investigators believe was unintentional and happened as a consequence of Burke allegedly pursuing the motorcycle. The driver of the Mitsubishi sustained minor injuries. Burke was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and his arraignment is anticipated to take place on Thursday. The name of the motorcyclist has not been disclosed. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to reach out to Litchfield police or the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit.
