Teenage girl passes away from injuries in Novato car accident
A tragic incident in Novato led to the death of a 14-year-old girl who was a passenger in a hit-and-run collision. The crash occurred early Wednesday on Ignacio Boulevard, resulting in critical injuries for the girl and moderate injuries for a 15-year-old boy who has since been released from the hospital. The Novato Police Department extended their deepest sympathies to the girl's family and community. The driver involved, an 18-year-old named Cristofer Larreinaga Corea, faced charges of child endangerment and hit-and-run causing injuries. Corea was taken into custody after receiving medical treatment following the crash. He appeared in court and had his bail set at $500,000.
