Teenage Driver Identified in Rudy Giuliani Car Accident
A 19-year-old woman, Lauren Kemp, has been identified as the driver involved in a car crash that injured former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and two others. The crash occurred when Kemp's Honda HR-V struck the rear of the Ford Bronco that Giuliani was traveling in. Giuliani's condition is improving, and he is expected to be discharged from the hospital in the next few days. The crash took place on northbound lanes of the southbound Interstate 93 highway, resulting in both vehicles hitting the highway median and sustaining heavy damage. Giuliani had stopped to assist a domestic violence victim before being struck from behind at high speed. Both Kemp and Giuliani's spokesperson Ted Goodman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The incident has been described as unrelated to the domestic violence event Giuliani was initially involved in. The state police are continuing their investigation into all aspects of the crash, and no charges have been filed as of now.
