Teen on bike killed by car in Macomb County
A 16-year-old student from Armada tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident, according to Michigan State Police. The incident occurred at around 5:35 a.m. in Armada Township, Macomb County. Reportedly, the teen was riding his bicycle on Armada Ridge Road when he was struck by a 66-year-old driver in a Jeep Compass. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Armada Area Schools confirmed the victim was a sophomore in their district and has implemented their crisis plan. The school is providing support for students and staff by opening the media center. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
