
Teen killed in three-car accident in Stillwater County
A 15-year-old boy from Columbus tragically lost his life in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 10 near Park City on the night of October 4, 2025. The Montana Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred just before 11:00 p.m. The teenager was driving a Ford F-150 in the westbound lane when he encountered a stopped vehicle. In an attempt to avoid a collision, he swerved, resulting in contact with one vehicle before crashing head-on into a Kenworth semi-truck. The teenager's vehicle caught fire, and unfortunately, he passed away at the scene. The identity of the teen has not been disclosed. The Montana Highway Patrol confirmed that the teen was wearing a seatbelt while the other two drivers involved, including a 69-year-old man from Fishtail, emerged unharmed. Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the accident, although the specific driver under the influence has not been indicated.
