Teen killed, another injured due to power line electrocution in Lansing area

A tragic incident involving a power line electrocution near Lansing, Michigan has resulted in the death of one teenager and left another hospitalized. The accident occurred on Tuesday at an apartment building in Leslie and is currently being investigated by local authorities. According to Leslie Police Chief Evan Bennehoff, the boys involved accidentally touched the power line with a metal pole. Responding to the call on Worthington Place Drive, the Leslie Fire Department was on the scene. To ensure safety, Consumers Energy disconnected the electric circuit to 488 customers in the area. WLNS, the CBS affiliate in Lansing, reported that the deceased was a 14-year-old and the injured teen was 15.
