Teen in Glasgow charged after fatal October crash

A young man from Glasgow was taken into custody recently on a variety of charges, including murder, following a fatal crash in mid-October in Glasgow. The incident occurred late evening on October 17th at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and North Jackson Highway. The collision resulted in the tragic loss of three teenagers and injuries to several others. An 18-year-old driver, Asa Howard, collided with another vehicle while driving a 2016 Nissan Altima northbound on North Jackson Highway. Howard and a passenger sustained severe injuries and were transferred to a nearby hospital. Despite receiving medical attention, three passengers tragically lost their lives. Additionally, individuals in the other involved vehicle were transported to the hospital for injuries as well. The local police chief praised the responding emergency crews and agencies for their support during this devastating incident. Following further investigation, Howard was charged with multiple offenses, including three counts of murder. The case is still under investigation, with no further details disclosed at this time.
