Teen in Belgrade dies in early morning accident
A tragic incident occurred near Belgrade early Sunday morning, resulting in the loss of a 13-year-old boy's life in a single-vehicle accident. The Montana Highway Patrol reported that the young driver, from Belgrade, was traveling west on Frontage Road when the vehicle veered across the center line, then overcorrected and ultimately went off the right side of the road. The car rolled multiple times before finally coming to a stop upright. The crash happened at 1:21 am at Frontage Rd and Woodbury Ave. The driver was taken to Bozeman Health Deaconess and sadly passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident. The Highway Patrol's investigation suggests that the boy was not wearing a seatbelt, and they suspect that alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed may have contributed to the crash.
