Teen hospitalized after freak beach accident; mom urges caution near water
A teenager is currently in intensive care following a serious diving accident at Hampton Beach. The incident occurred on a hot Monday afternoon, when 19-year-old Aiden Sloan was playing in the water with his cousins. Unfortunately, Sloan misjudged the depth of the water and hit a sandbar head-on while diving into a wave. Thankfully, his cousins acted quickly to bring him to shore when they realized he was in trouble and not breathing. Sloan's mother, Melina Burton, expressed her gratitude towards his cousins for their heroic actions. Sloan has suffered a broken neck and is currently unable to move his legs and hands, but is trying to stay strong through his recovery. His employer, Greenleaf Milford, is supporting him by donating a portion of sales to help with his medical expenses. Sloan's prognosis remains uncertain as doctors continue to monitor his progress.
