Teen from West Chester arrested after high-speed chase and crash on I-75.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested a 17-year-old from West Chester who was driving over 100 mph on I-75 after a pursuit across multiple counties that ended in a crash in Montgomery County early on Thursday morning. The teenager was taken to Kettering Health Miamisburg for a medical evaluation before being placed into the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. The teen faces charges including failure to comply with police orders, speeding, and not maintaining a safe distance. Fortunately, no one else was injured during the incident. The chase began when a trooper noticed the teenager driving at 113 mph on Interstate 75 North in Liberty Township. Despite attempts to pull him over, the teen failed to stop, leading to the pursuit that ended in a collision with another vehicle at an intersection on Austin Boulevard. Investigations are ongoing by troopers from the Hamilton post.
