Teen from Hatfield killed in Deerfield car accident
A teenager was killed in a rollover accident that occurred on Greenfield Road in Deerfield on Sunday morning. According to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, the incident involved a vehicle rolling over and hitting a fire hydrant. The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Hatfield, lost his life in the crash. The passenger in the vehicle was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed. The cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The incident is under investigation by the Deerfield Police Department, along with Massachusetts State Police and specialists from the Crime Scene Services and Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Sections.
