Teen driver injured in crash with opposing vehicle in Ogle County
In Rochelle, Illinois, a 15-year-old driver was taken to the hospital on Sunday after causing a collision by entering the intersection in front of an oncoming car in Ogle County. Officials from the Ogle County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash at the intersection of East Hemstock Road and South Kings Road around 5:53 p.m. Investigators discovered that the teenager had stopped at the stop sign on South Kings Road before moving into the intersection, where the Chevy Impala was approaching. The impact caused both vehicles to end up on opposite sides of the ditch. The teenager sustained minor injuries and was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment, while the 38-year-old Rochelle man driving the Impala was unharmed. No charges have been reported in connection with the incident.
