Teen driver blamed for causing serious New Year's Eve crash by running red light

A 15-year-old driver is alleged to have crashed into another vehicle on New Year's Eve, causing serious injuries to the driver. Glendale Police reported that the teenager ran a red light and collided with another vehicle at the intersection of North 75th Avenue and Camelback Road. A pedestrian at the intersection was also hit and suffered serious injuries. Two individuals injured in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital for medical care. According to PIO Sergeant Bryan Hoskin, speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident. The road is currently closed, and it is uncertain whether the driver's injuries are life-threatening. Police have not disclosed whether the driver responsible will face charges.
