Teen dies in heartbreaking boating mishap in NC

Tragically, a boating accident occurred on the Pamlico River in Beaufort County, resulting in the unfortunate fatality of a 13-year-old passenger and minor injuries to the 14-year-old operator of a jet ski. The incident involved a 25-foot SeaCraft operated by 69-year-old Oscar Edward Woolard of Washington that struck a jet ski with two young boys onboard. Mr. Woolard promptly called 911, and emergency responders arrived at the scene. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is currently investigating the incident, ruling out drugs or alcohol as contributing factors. The authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
