Teen dies in crash after losing control of Mustang: LAPD
Police have confirmed that a teenager driving a Mustang lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a light pole, resulting in the driver's death. The incident occurred at 22nd Street and Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro late on Saturday night. According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, the Mustang was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The car was traveling eastbound on 22nd Street and veered left onto Harbor, causing the collision with the pole. Emergency responders pronounced the victim, identified only as a "17- to 18-year-old male," dead at the scene. Video footage from KTLA showed extensive damage to the Mustang, with a white tent indicating where the fatality occurred. Police did not specify the cause of the crash, but witnesses and news sources suggest that speed may have played a role. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported in connection with the accident.
