Teen dies in Butler County crash following car collision with tree
A tragic accident occurred in Butler County early Tuesday morning resulting in the death of a teenager and another adolescent being hospitalized in serious condition. The Butler County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to a car crash on Ross Hanover Road around 1:40 a.m. The car, a 2014 Acura traveling westbound, veered off the road and collided with a tree. Unfortunately, the driver, a 17-year-old girl, passed away at the scene. The passenger, also a 17-year-old girl, was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital with severe injuries. The authorities are looking into speed as a potential cause of the crash, as no drugs or alcohol were involved.
