
Teen cited for traffic violations following train crash in Voorheesville
In Voorheesville, New York, a teenage driver was injured and received multiple traffic citations after her vehicle was struck by a CSX train. The incident occurred on Monday at around 4:30 p.m. in Voorheesville village. Law enforcement officials reported that a 16-year-old girl tried to maneuver around crossing arms while a train was nearing the intersection of South Main Street and Prospect Street. The collision resulted in her car being pushed off the tracks by the train. She was able to exit the vehicle and was transported to Albany Medical Center for minor injuries. Thankfully, the train operator was unharmed.
