Teen boy dies in multiple vehicle crash in Pompano Beach; 5 others injured, according to BSO
A tragic incident occurred in Pompano Beach on Friday night, resulting in the death of a teenage boy and the hospitalization of five individuals. The Broward County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash and car fire near 200 West Copans Rd just before 8 p.m. It was reported that a 16-year-old boy was driving a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 with four teenage passengers when it collided with a 2021 Toyota Sienna driven by an 82-year-old man. The impact caused the Mercedes to lose control, leading to further collisions with other vehicles. Although emergency responders provided immediate assistance, the young boy passed away at the scene. Both drivers of the Sienna and another vehicle involved cooperated with the authorities, who are currently investigating the factors that led to the tragic crash.
