
Teen and 2 others arrested in fatal North Austin car-pedestrian collision.
Three individuals, including a teenage boy, have been taken into custody following a tragic car-pedestrian incident in North Austin that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred on July 27 on N. Lamar Boulevard. The victim, Ismal Mossaad, was struck in the collision and pronounced deceased at the scene. The 16-year-old boy was driving one of the vehicles and is now facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while the other two individuals involved, Markell D. Turner and Jarina D. Robinson, have also been charged. Turner, the driver of the second vehicle, faces a charge of driving while intoxicated, and Robinson, a passenger, is charged with possession of controlled substances/narcotics. This incident marks the 55th fatal crash this year in Austin, with 59 fatalities to date.
