Teen accused of reckless homicide in Hanover Park, IL crash

A teenager has been accused in a tragic accident that occurred in Hanover Park last year, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to a passenger. Adrian Pleban, an 18-year-old from Hanover Park, has been charged by the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office with two counts of reckless homicide and two counts of aggravated reckless driving causing great bodily harm. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, Pleban surrendered to authorities. He was subsequently released on conditions that included not driving. The incident occurred on November 1, 2024, when Pleban was driving a 2013 BMW 328I at excessive speed and collided with a woman driving a 2022 Ford Bronco. The collision led to the woman's death and severe injuries to the Bronco's passenger. Pleban is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.
