Teen accused in Houston accident that killed 2 passengers
An 18-year-old driver, Isaiah Xavier Benavidez, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a tragic crash that resulted in the deaths of an 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. The incident occurred over the weekend on I-610 South Loop East near Roe Drive in Houston. The driver, along with the passengers, was in a speeding pickup truck that lost control, crashed into a freeway sign, and caught fire around 2 a.m. Saturday. While the driver survived and is hospitalized, the identities of the deceased individuals have not been disclosed. Authorities state that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
