Tattoo parlor organizes event to raise funds for repairs after accident

A local tattoo shop in Lafayette, Be True Tattoo, is making strides towards reopening following a devastating incident in June. The shop was severely damaged when a car crashed into it, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian and an employee. To support the rebuilding efforts, Be True Tattoo is organizing a flash day tattoo fundraiser this Saturday at Instant Classic Tattoo. Paige Haggerty, a body piercer at both Be True Tattoo and Instant Classic Tattoo, emphasized the importance of prioritizing people over material possessions. Despite the challenges faced since the accident, the shop's employees have been working out of their sister shop, Instant Classic Tattoo, expressing gratitude for the support. The upcoming fundraiser will showcase custom designs by talented artists, with all proceeds dedicated to reconstructing Be True Tattoo. Haggerty anticipates a positive and uplifting event that will not only feature excellent tattoos but also contribute to the community by supporting skilled artists. The goal of the fundraiser is to assist in the restoration of Be True Tattoo, ensuring it can continue providing its unique services to the public.
