Suspected DUI in Granite Bay crash killing 2, according to CHP
Authorities suspect that driving under the influence was a factor in a fatal crash that occurred in Granite Bay early on Sunday. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Eureka Road, east of Bridle Path Lane. The California Highway Patrol reported that a green BMW M3 was speeding westbound on Eureka Road when the driver lost control, resulting in a collision with a tree. Both the driver and the passenger, who were males, tragically lost their lives at the crash site. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed. Following the accident, the road remained closed for approximately four hours on Sunday morning.
