Suspected car thief injured, pursued by K9, apprehended following Lincoln County collision.
In Portland, Oregon, a suspected car thief was apprehended after attempting to escape a crash scene while injured. An individual, identified as 48-year-old Brian Peoples from Gladstone, was successfully tracked by a Lincoln City police K9 unit following a request for assistance at Highway 18 near milepost 11. This occurred after the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Ronde Tribal Police Department responded to a crash involving a stolen car. The authorities believed Peoples, who was found in the woods with serious injuries, was the second suspect involved. He was treated at a hospital and then taken into custody at the Tillamook County Jail. Although evidence of multiple felony property crimes was discovered during the investigation, Peoples has currently only been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
