Suspect in crash to face prosecutor in Thessaloniki
A 45-year-old woman who is suspected of causing a serious car accident and leaving the scene will be facing a prosecutor in Thessaloniki this Saturday. The incident occurred early Friday morning on the Thessaloniki-Moudania national road, near Thermi. The woman, driving a Porsche, collided with another vehicle, injuring the male driver and a female passenger. Instead of reporting the accident or seeking help, the woman fled. The injured individuals had to be rescued by emergency personnel and are currently receiving treatment at AHEPA Hospital. The woman was later apprehended at her residence, where she admitted owning the Porsche. In her initial statement, she explained that she was in shock after the accident and was driven to a hospital by friends. Tests have shown that she was driving under the influence of alcohol, and further confirmatory tests are pending.
