Suspect faces charges after multi-car crash: ACSO
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Anderson County deputies said a person is facing several charges after fleeing officials, resulting in a multi-car crash. A truck, hauling a camper, was seen driving dangerously along Cayman Way, speeding and swerving between lanes on Monday morning, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies said they activated their blue lights and attempted to pull the driver over, due to the dangerous driving maneuvers. The driver's vehicle tag was also expired, deputies said. The driver then sped up when noticing deputies and continued to swerve, taking out a stop sign at the intersection of Concord Road and Cayman Way. The driver then crashed into another vehicle on Pearman Dairy Road. The attached camper then crashed into a mini van, with a driver inside, deputies said. The suspect then attempted to flee on foot, but deputies caught him and brought him into custody. The suspect was brought to the hospital to be checked out. 7News will provide an update once the suspect's name is released.
