Suspect deliberately knocked off motorcycle during high-speed chase after deputy's death
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is mourning the loss of Deputy Andrew Nunez, who tragically lost his life while responding to a call in Rancho Cucamonga. The suspect involved in the incident, who has not been named, was apprehended after a high-speed pursuit on the 210 Freeway in Upland. Sheriff Shannon Dicus expressed the department's deep sorrow and commitment to seeking justice for Deputy Nunez's family. The suspect is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. Charges are being considered by the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office, including murder of a police officer and domestic violence. The community and fellow law enforcement agencies have come together to honor Deputy Nunez's service and bravery. The deputy is survived by his 2-year-old daughter and pregnant wife.
