Suspect arrested for deadly Glenmont motorcycle accident in July
The video above features previous coverage by NEWS10 on the Glenmont motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of Patrick Lafortune Jr. The Bethlehem Police Department has announced the arrest of Jacob Snide, 33, from Ravena, in connection to the incident. Snide was driving a southbound vehicle on Route 9W when he crossed into the opposing lane, colliding with Lafortune's northbound motorcycle on July 14. Lafortune tragically lost his life in the accident. Snide has been charged with multiple felonies, including second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, and reckless driving. Following his indictment by an Albany County Grand Jury, Snide was arrested and currently remains in custody at the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail. Bethlehem Police Chief Gina Cocchiara expressed condolences to Lafortune's family and emphasized the department's commitment to ensuring justice in the case.
