Suspect apprehended in fatal hit-and-run on Greenbriar Blvd in Lehigh Acres

An arrest has been made in connection with a hit-and-run incident that tragically resulted in the death of a 66-year-old woman in Lehigh Acres. The incident occurred on Aug. 30, when a pickup truck struck the woman as she walked along Greenbriar Boulevard before the driver fled the scene. Florida Highway Patrol troopers have apprehended Kyle Justin Hubbard, a 49-year-old man from Alva, who was taken into custody on Tuesday. The FHP also reported that the suspected vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, a 2019 Toyota Tundra, has been located and taken into possession. Hubbard has been charged with multiple offenses, including leaving the scene of a crash resulting in a fatality, leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage, and tampering with evidence. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as per the FHP.
