At Civil Hospital, Asarwa in Ahmedabad, family members of passengers on the Air India flight frantically search for their loved ones. Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old survivor of the crash, recounted the terrifying experience he went through. Shortly after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane went down rapidly. Vishwash sustained injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was bound for Gatwick and carried 242 people, including passengers and crew. 169 passengers were Indian nationals, 53 British, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian. Vishwash, a British citizen, was returning to the UK after visiting family in India. He recalled waking up among bodies and debris, running to safety, and being taken to the hospital. He expressed concern about his missing brother, Ajay, who was also on the flight. Meanwhile, at the hospital, relatives searched for their loved ones, including family members of former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who was also a passenger on the flight. Sailesh Mandliya, who previously worked with Rupani, was at the hospital seeking information about the former chief minister.
