Student severely hurt in car crash near Pioneer High School
This morning, a student at Pioneer High School was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle outside the school, leading to a brief medical lockdown. Woodland Police Department reported the incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and Patriot Way. The student was taken to a nearby hospital, and their parents have been informed, though their condition remains unclear. The police initiated an investigation, resulting in a closure of the northbound lane of Pioneer Avenue. The driver involved remained at the scene to cooperate with law enforcement. In response, school officials advised caution to drivers traveling to and from the school and thanked emergency responders and staff for their swift response.
