
Stretch of Pennsylvania Turnpike closed after fatal crash
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- One person was killed in a vehicle crash that closed a stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday morning. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the single-vehicle accident on I-76 in Cumberland County was fatal. The crash occurred at 4:49 a.m. on Monday. The roadway is currently closed as crews work to clear the scene. There was no update regarding when the roadway may reopen. 511PA said drivers should take US 11 North, to Interstate 81 North, to Interstate 83 South, to Interstate 283 South, and re-enter at the at Harrisburg East Interchange (247). No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
