Stolen Porsche Driver Rescued From Palisades Cliffs After Multi-Car Crash
A driver in a stolen Porsche was rescued from the cliffs of the Palisades after crashing into multiple vehicles and fleeing on foot Sunday afternoon, May 31, Daily Voice has learned. The crash happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Tom Hunter Road in Fort Lee, where the driver of the stolen silver Porsche collided with multiple vehicles. He then abandoned the car and ran from the scene through The Colony apartment complex at 1530 Palisade Ave., sources told Daily Voice. While attempting to escape, the driver fell down the Palisades cliffs, according to responders. Members of the East Bergen Rappel Team rescued the unconscious man from the cliffside. He was hospitalized in serious condition, sources told Daily Voice. Photos from the scene show a heavily damaged silver Porsche and a black sedan involved in the collision. Daily Voice has reached out to police for additional details, including the circumstances surrounding the stolen vehicle and the identity of the driver. The incident remains under investigation.
