Stockton truck driver allegedly expresses regret after fatal Florida collision, attorney states

A human rights lawyer who met with the Stockton truck driver involved in a deadly crash in Florida revealed that the driver, Harjinder Singh, expressed deep regret and tried to provide assistance to the victims. Singh inadvertently caused the fatal collision by making an illegal U-turn on a highway that resulted in the deaths of three individuals in a minivan. Despite criticism from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump for his perceived lack of remorse, attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun from Sikhs for Justice stated that Singh was truly sorry and acted immediately to help after the incident. Pannun described the event as a tragic error in judgment and emphasized that Singh never intended harm. Singh, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2018 and sought asylum, holds a federal Real ID for his commercial driver's license as well as a federal work permit. Recently, Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins visited Stockton to accompany Singh back to Florida. Additionally, Sikhs for Justice pledged to provide $100,000 to support the families of the crash victims, as announced this week.
