Stockdale Hwy crash: 1 dead, 2 injured
In a tragic incident early Friday morning on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield, California, a collision resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The accident involved a 2018 Freightliner truck and a 2021 Freightliner tow truck, with a third vehicle, a 2003 Honda Odyssey, also being impacted. The collision occurred when the driver of the 2018 Freightliner crossed into oncoming traffic, causing a fiery crash that tragically claimed the life of the tow truck driver. The drivers of the other vehicles were taken to Kern Medical with moderate injuries. The incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Bakersfield CHP office.
