
Steven Bailey sentencing for fatal Park Tavern patio crash
The individual responsible for the tragic incident at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, which resulted in two fatalities and numerous injuries, is scheduled for sentencing on Monday. Steven Bailey, 57, admitted guilt to charges of third-degree murder and criminal vehicular operation. As part of the plea deal, he is expected to serve between 25 and 30 years in prison, pending the judge's decision. The Hennepin County Attorney, Mary Moriarty, is seeking the maximum sentence of 30 years. Bailey, found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.325, collided with the patio area of Park Tavern, causing the deaths of Kristina Folkerts and Gabe Harvey, as well as injuring several others. His previous convictions for drunk driving have been highlighted, and he will appear in court for sentencing at 1 p.m.
