
State troopers responding to serious accident in central Kansas
Emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a serious crash in central Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol announced the incident on social media at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Oct. 7, indicating that troopers are present near the Chapman highway interchange where I-70 and Rain Road intersect in Dickinson County. Rain Road leading south into Chapman is temporarily shut down as troopers address the crash site. Motorists needing to travel to Chapman from the highway are advised to utilize the Junction City exit and take Highway 40 instead. Another option is to exit at mile-marker 281 and also use Highway 40. We have contacted the KHP for further details on the accident and will provide updates as they become accessible.
