State Road 50 blocked after fiery crash killing motorcyclist, FHP says
State Road 50 is currently blocked in both directions after a fiery collision that left a motorcyclist dead at the scene near Taylor Creek Road on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash involved a 2007 Buick Lucerne traveling eastbound on State Road 50, which entered the westbound lanes in an attempt to turn into a private driveway.The Buick continued west in the outside lane, directly into the path of a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 traveling westbound in the outside lane east of Taylor Creek Road.The front of the Buick struck the front of the Suzuki, causing both vehicles to catch fire and the rider of the Suzuki to be thrown from the motorcycle.The driver of the Buick was not injured and remained on the scene.
