State police identify woman killed in single-car crash on I-84
A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, that killed a New Hampshire woman is under investigation on Friday. The crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. I-84 west near Exit 5.Massachusetts State Police said responding troopers found a vehicle that had spun 180 degrees before coming to rest in the middle travel lane. The body of the driver was not in the passenger cabin, police said. Police identified the victim as Beth Wittenberg, 59, of Rochester, New Hampshire.The highway was closed for about three hours to allow for work by Crime Scene Services and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Sections investigators.The crash remains under investigation.
